About

A short
biography.

Born Argentina, 1990 · Based in Berlin

Milagros Hurtig (Argentina, 1990) is a researcher, artist, and participatory designer working at the intersections of urban planning, relational practices, and social and institutional innovation. Her work combines design methods, performative approaches, and context-specific creative tools to facilitate communication, listening, and understanding among diverse actors.

With a transdisciplinary background, she moves between urbanism, participatory design, public innovation, and artistic practice. Her projects aim to build bridges across disciplines, promote relational quality, and activate sensitive forms of encounter in public space. In Buenos Aires she was part of the Urbanismo Vivo collective and co-founded urban.femina. She has collaborated with teams and communities in Mexico, Argentina, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Austria, Germany, Kosovo, and beyond.

She holds a degree in architecture and a master's in urban studies (University of Vienna, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, University of Copenhagen, Complutense University of Madrid) and is currently a PhD candidate at the NTNU Department of Design.
